We Love Books!

Every night before bed after Ethan has been scrubbed clean in the bath, we sit together on the rocking chair and read our favorite books. Ethan's first favorite book was Truckery Rhymes, a whole book of nursery rhymes about trucks. Ethan has a personalized autographed copy (thanks Sharon!) and ever since he was just a few months old he has been enjoying Mommy and Daddy read him rhymes while he smiles along. Some of our other favorites are Goodnight Moon, and Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes.

The other day when I got home from work, Ethan and I were playing in his room with his toys. He made his way over to his books for a little light reading before bed...

Just Playing Around

Ethan loves hanging around with mommy and daddy on the weekend playing with his toys! We take so many pictures of him he now smiles for the camera! Here are a few favorites from the last few weeks...

Happy Boy in the Car!

Ethan has graduated into his new big boy carseat, he is over 22 pounds afterall! He is such a happy boy in his new seat, as he can see himself in his mirror and spread out more comfortably. On the rare occasion that Ethan is not happy in his carseat, all we have to do is start singing The Wheels on the Bus and Ethan instantly stops crying. He doesn't want Baby Beluga, The Itsy Bitsy Spider, or If You're Happy and You Know It...oh no, none of those will do. He ONLY wants The Wheels on the Bus!

Ostrich Festival

On Saturday March 13, Ethan got to experience his first Ostrich festival. Rich's cousin Andrew was in town, and we all met up with Jared, Carrie, little Addie and their family. We watched the ostrich races, and then spent the rest of the day sprawled out on the grass enjoying the beautiful Arizona March weather. After a bunch junk food (which is sort of a rite of passage at one of those events) and a bunch of sun we headed out. Little Addie didn't make it out of the festival before she flopped forward in her stroller and fell asleep! Ethan was somehow still full of energy after his after lunch nap.

Bubby's Little Matzah Ball!

Ethan was so thrilled to have his Bubby (Katie's mom) come for a visit at the end of February. Bubby got Ethan all to herself while Mommy and Daddy worked on Friday, then we all got to enjoy each other for the rest of the weekend. On Saturday, Ethan was such a trooper all over town as we went to his cousin's soccer game, shopped and ate! By the time lunch rolled around he was so tired he fell right to sleep in Daddy's arms at Jason's Deli. Then he napped in his stroller right through the mall...such a good boy!

First Trip to the Zoo!

In February we took Ethan to the zoo for the first time. We went with Aunt Brandy, Cousins Jayton and Brekin, and Nana and Papa. It was such a beautiful morning as we monkeyed around looking at the animals. Ethan was such a good boy in the stroller and in the front carrier (giving mommy a workout!)
