When Ethan asked for a piece of paper to draw a picture, I had an idea of what he might draw...some circles, some lines...but I never expected this!!! I had never seen him draw a person, let alone a person with arms, legs, and a face! He said this was mommy, on a surfboard at the beach...Aunt Jaime said that maybe mommy is frowning because she looks like a potato... I can't believe this boy, I can't wait to frame this one!

An Unforgettable Visit to the Atlanta Aquarium
To celebrate Ethan's 3rd birthday, Grammy and Poppa, and Aunt Jaime and Jackson took us all to see the Atlanta Aquarium. It was absolutely unforgettable. Their tanks are huge, and filled with amazing sea creatures. Our absolute highlight though was our personal dining experience up close and personal. We couldn't find a spot to eat our lunch out in the cafeteria area, so we asked if we could sit in the banquet room - as we saw some people eating in there. To our surprise, once inside we discovered that we had our own views into two separate tanks! That is where Ethan had the amazing flyover from the whale shark! Everyone else left the banquet room and as we started to leave, he headed over to the beluga tank for a quick look. Once we stood there, those beluga whales started interacting with us, calling out, and swimming and gliding quickly by. We were giddy, unable to believe we had this show all to ourselves! Then I went to take a picture of everyone in front of the tank, and suddenly all of the whales swam up to the glass, almost as if posing for the camera too! Little did we know that it was feeding time right above us! What an incredible day, we were just sad that Rich was home in AZ and had to miss out!
Looking in on the largest aquarium tank in the world.
Wow! Scuba divers in the tank!
