Car Accident

After a great play date with Addie, Carrie and Lainey yesterday, the Morris boys and I were rear ended by a gal as we waited at the red light on the exit ramp of the freeway. We were driving Rich's Acura and when she hit us, I was looking over my right shoulder checking on Matthew. Because of the impact, I ended up bumping into the car in front of us! Poor Ethan started crying because it was scary, and Matthew was already crying so he just continued right along. Both boys were in their car seats of course, and were ok. I took them to the doctor to get checked out this morning, and the doctor confirmed that they are injury free! I on the other hand was in an awkward position when she hit us, so I instantly felt stiffness in my back. Not pain, just discomfort. Today, the stiffness moved around to my neck and my shoulder. I went to the doctor to get checked out as well. She said I most likely have soft tissue damage which should feel better in 2 weeks.

Our car has some damage which will be repaired (thank goodness the girl that hit us had insurance!) Overall, I am just feeling incredibly thankful that we are all ok.

3 Months Old!

One Month Old

2 Months Old

3 Months Old

Our sweet little Matthew is already 3 months old! Right now he is sleeping so well at night (better than Ethan in fact!). He likes to nurse like crazy or use his paci in the hour or two leading up to bedtime. He is usually ready to be put down in his cradle around 10:30 or so. He usually sleeps until early in the morning (around 4 am), then nurses and goes right back to sleep for another couple of hours. He doesn't cry when he wakes up, I just hear the cradle rocking a bit as he kicks his legs around. When I lean over to pick him up, he often gives me a huge grin! I love the way his little body feels in his jammies when I pick him up.

Milestones reached this month:

-Sleep for longer stretches at night! Sometimes 10:30 pm-4:30 am!
-Discovered his hands, puts them in his mouth
-Hit the dangling toys on his play gym on purpose
-Grab at his blanket and pull it up to his mouth
-Smile at the faces of loved ones
-Coo and Gurgle, especially when we place him down on his changing table
-Chuckle (mostly at Daddy!)
-Control his movements
