Look Who's a Big Boy!

Goodbye high chair! Today we bought Ethan a booster seat for the kitchen table. He has been wanting to join us in a big boy chair and so he was very excited to sit next to Daddy at the table!

Mesa Arts Exhibit

Wow, what a neat experience! Today we went to Amococo, a luminarium sculpture that radiates natural light creating all of those beautiful colors! The giant synthetic sculpture has traveled all over the world, and thanks to Carrie's reccomendation, we visited it on it's last day in Mesa! Ethan LOVED it!! He shouted out "Red! Blue! Green!" and thought it felt great to just lay back and relax. They had mellow "meditatation" music on and the whole "maze" just had such a great energy. I had a fun time figuring out how to use the camera to best capture the light, and Daddy and Ethan had fun turning the walls into slides!

Mommy's Dressed Up!

A picture with my little love before a girl's night out!

Library Visit

On my day off, Ethan and I walked over to the Sunset Library after breakfast which is less than a 10 minute stroll away! (Have I mentioned we LOVE our new location!!) We had been to that library twice before, but had never checked out books. The children's area has these big beautiful windows, and big baskets full of board books. I put Ethan in his converse that day, and the poor guy kept tripping over them and falling on his knees! Here he is relaxing (and keeping watch out the window for dogs!) We checked out fun new books incuding his new favorites Monkey Truck, and I'm a Little Teapot....which is appropriate, you know...short and stout!!!

Ethan's Idea!

Ethan decided that this was how he would help me do the laundry! Once he was under all of those towels, he would yell, "Push!" so that I would run and push him around the living room. Cheap entertainment!

Bubby and the Zoo

Mommy's little pearl

"Ahhhhh! Look at me!"

"RRRRRaaaarrrrrr!!! Watch out alligator!"

Bubby's new friend...

Peek-a-Boo!

3 generations of love!
"I love you Bubby!"
Yeah!! Ethan was so excited for his Bubby to come and visit. A couple of weeks before she came I said, "Ethan, guess who is coming to see you...Bubby!" From then on, all you had to say was, "Who's coming to see you?" and he would say, "Bubby!" Other than getting two skinned knees, Ethan had a great time showing his Bubby all around the zoo. We could hardly get him out of the area with all of the animal statues. Ethan thought he was really tough stuff when Rich said, "Ethan, come see the alligator's teeth." And Ethan bent right over in the alligator's face and yelled "Rrrraaarrrrr!!!"
Bubby also took Ethan to the park while Mommy and Daddy were at work. They took a choo choo train ride, fed the ducks and played on the swings and slide. Even Bubby needed a nap after that!

Backyard Fun

Ethan loves to play outside in our little backyard when we get home on the week days. I brought him home a paintbrush from my classroom because I thought it would be fun for him to paint the big rocks with water. He thought it would be more fun to paint his truck! Then I wanted to take a picture with the two of us and every time I would say "Ethan, say cheese!" He thought I was saying TREES...so he would look up and point to our big tree and say "Trees!" So silly!

Mommy's Little Helper

I now have a little helper that INSISTS on being right there in the middle of the action in the kitchen! The other night I was making mexican lasagna and Ethan proudly layered the tortillas and spread the cheese around. Of course not all of the cheese made it into the casserole...
