Ethan's First "Haircut"

Ethan's hair has grown so much since his first birthday! We love his long hair but it was starting to droop down and cover his eyes...so it was time for a bang trim! Rich did the trimming, I could't bare to put scissors to those lovely locks!

Watermelon Head

This morning Ethan and Daddy went for a bike ride. Ethan loves to be outside and especially loves riding on the front of Daddy's bike! Here is the new helmet that Ethan and Rich picked out together at REI. Very appropriate for our little watermelon lover! When Ethan and Daddy go outside to get ready for their bike ride, Ethan helps pump up the tires and taps his head to tell us he needs his helmet!

A Visit From Shannon and Ryan

Rich, Ethan, Addie, Jared, Shannon and Ryan

Shannon and Little Ryan were in town for a wedding a couple of weekends ago. We had a little get-together at the Jarecki's house on a Football Sunday. Shannon, Rich, and Jared, go waaaaayyyy back! Shannon and her family have since moved back home to Michigan, but here is a great pic of three old friends and three new friends!

Smoothie King

Yeah! Smoothie Time!
Hmmm I wonder how long it will take Mommy to get me more?!
WOW THAT IS SOOO GOOD!

Okay so full disclosure here...I could probably have taken pictures of Ethan eating any number of things and titled this blog appropriately...Cereal King, Macaroni King, Apple and Banana King, Cheese King, Grape King...okay so you get the idea. If you can't tell by looking at Ethan's photo's, or haven't had the opportunity to share a meal with him (and by share I literally mean give him all of yours), Ethan LOVES food. He is always saying "snack, snack, snack!" He will finish his own meal and then if anyone else starts eating he immediately wants some (I know, sounds like his Mommy!) Even our grocery bill has gone up...I shudder to think of what we are going to pay to feed Ethan the teenager.
So anyway, here is Ethan enjoying his favorite pasttime. He really does love smoothies though.

Here is Mommy's famous smoothie:

1 Banana (per person)
Frozen blueberries
Frozen strawberries
Yogurt
Diluted Apple Juice
3-6-9 Oil
Ground Flax Seed
Flax Seed Oil
Vanilla Protien Powder

Bath Time

The other night when I was giving Ethan a bath he was being such a goofball! He was lining his ducks up (like we do when we sing "3 Little Ducks Went Out One Day...") Then he just put on a show making silly faces and acting like a little monkey. I had to try really hard to capture his funny mood without capturing too much of him! ;)

It's Raining, It's Pouring!

Ethan woke up from his nap this afternoon to discover RAIN! He sat by the door facinated by the drip drops. He made the funny face wth the big eyes after he heard the thunder. After it stopped raining, we headed out to see the puddles!

15 months!

Ethan went for his 15 month check up today. He is 25 lbs. 4.5 oz, and he is in the 50th-75th percentile. He is 32 inches long, and is back up to the 75th percentile! Big boy! Ethan impressed Dr. Miller by showing off his walking and giving her silly smiles when he knew we were talking about him. He didn't give her very nice looks when she was talking with us about temper tantrums!
