In December Ethan took his first road trip to California to visit all of his CA family for Christmas. We were gone for 15 days and Ethan was such a trooper! There were many firsts on this trip... his first time at each of his grandparent's houses in San Mateo and Boulder Creek, his first time opening Christmas presents, his first long line to sit on Santa's lap, meeting cousin Draven and his Great Nana (and many other relatives) for the first time.

The week before we left on our trip Ethan learned to sit up all by himself! It helps that he has a nice round belly to rest on. He is also pushing himself up really high on his hands during tummy time, and pulling his knees forward with dreams of crawling. Ethan has learned his name and looks at you when you call it, and he also gives you a high five when you hold up your hand (thanks to Daddy of course!
